Has anyone ever put a updated chassis under a 1957 Silverhawk? If you did, what chassis did you use, and what things do you run across to make it work?

Allan, welcome to the SDC forum.:)

idk the answer to your question, but a good place to start is in the "search" feature at the top of the page. more folks will probably chime in with info - personally, i would look for a decent Hawk frame, etc.

here's some info from search: https://www.google.com/search?sitesearch=forum.studebakerdriversclub.com&q=Hawk+Chassis&submit.x=0&submit.y=0&domains=forum.studebakerdriversclub.com

A semi common one is the S10 frame under the C/K, actually been done a few times. There is of course the most common Mustang II, or nove subframes but the S10 is a full chasis swap. Another that gets a lot of talk but I don't know if anyones done it yet, is the later Ford panther(crown vic, continental,Marquis). One guy up here has a project using an entire skyline clip, and infiniti(I believe) rear end.
