    Fairly rare car.
    Deluxe: 2712 built
    Regal Deluxe: 6278 built
Judging by the stainless rocker moldings, this one appears to be a Regal Deluxe model. Hope it goes to a good home.

Look in the background of photos 3 and 7. Isn't that one of those gaudy uber-ugly so-called Stutz Bearcats from the 70's?

On second thought, no, I think it's one of those gaudy uber-ugly Excalibers from the 70's.

Not just any ol' Starlight...but a Commander to boot. That means the engine is a Big Six and the car has all the heavy duty goodies that come with that model. Either restore or rod...a worthy project. Certainly one of the desirable body types that could come closer to being a reasonable investment prospect than many others we see.

The fender ornaments look like the 50 Commander part also -- bigger jewel on front, and no ridges in the chrome.

The original Brooks Stevens Excalibers used a Lark Daytona frame. At one time, Stevens planned to offer Excalibers thru select Studebaker dealers.
