50 Champion tranny fluid question?

Got it all cleaned up. Flip it over and there are four openings to fill tranny section and overdrive section. Can I fill(with proper amount of fluid) in the front hole and wait till it comes out the very back hole on the overdrive section. My question is --Are the two sections suppose to bleed through to each other. Thanks,,,,,,, Rick

Fill the overdrive section first and then the main section second. The oil will work its way between the two sections, but it takes time for that to happen. Bud

Thanks, I was hoping it worked that way. My shop manual doesn't say anything about bleed thru. I was afraid I may have forgot a gasket.....

Never saw a transmission on an engine stand, never thought of that. What a good idea.
