A 1960 Studebaker (sources state it was a 1960 beige Lark) has been found in a creek in South Dakota. 17 years old Pam Jackson and Sherri Miller were on the way to a party in May 1971 and never arrived. The car will be examined for forensic evidence. A press conference is scheduled for 4:00 P.M. CDT, check the link below as it will be carried live. Sad story, I hope this brings closure for the families after all these years. Russ Farris

I checked the Keloland SD TV Station after your first post and the Mid-Day News did not have the Video yet, but later I got the 5:00 News complete live (taped) story. It seems they figured out from the submerged '60 Studebaker (most likely a Lark) that the Wheel Covers or Hub Cabs and License Plate matched the missing Studebaker (good Ol Stainless Steel Stude. Parts!) but lifting it out of the water in ONE piece is not possible, it's breaking up DAH! 1971 to 2013 is only 42 years!
They had NO pictures except a reporter Guy talking.
It is really sad that the most likely suspect of the two 17 year old girls murder has not been able to be prosecuted, yet anyway.Last edited by StudeRich; 09-23-2013, 04:18 PM.StudeRich

My personal guess is the girls will be found inside. It's less than 1/2 mile from the gravel pit party they were heading to.

Wow... lot of weird "missing people in car" cases turning up lately.

Really? A "Mail ON Line" British newspaper has much more detail about a South Dakota USA cold case than anyone HERE does?
Technology is certainly changing things!
Interesting that someone must have searched the Web for a Pic of a Beige '60 Lark and came up with a '61 Lark 4 Door in Autumn Haze on Wikipedia!

I'll tell ya' one thing, having looked at the remains: The probability of finding the Studebaker's Secret Serial Number on the rear of that frame is well south of zero. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.
