I saw the movie the hot spot for the first time in a long time. In fact the last time I saw it I did not have a hawk. I now have one and the movie has a lot more meaning. I wonder if Don Johnson was driving a forum member car. It looks to be a 1959 v8 black with red interior. When he pulls out to the fire you hear that studebaker wind up. Then mid way though the film it sounds like the exhast system starts to leak;).

Studebakers forever!

Hey you saw that Hawk too? Not stopping anyone else, I would have mentioned the movie but there was a hitch that stopped me from mentioning it. The movie is, uhhhhhh, not exactly G or PG ;)

This post should probably be transferred to the old thread about Studebakers in movies.

Of course it's totally understandable that the guy would work at a car lot in the 80's and no one would comment on his Hawk... and what a perfect, unobtrusive car to use for committing a crime <G>

That movie is also worth watching for Jennifer Connelly!
