Were all of the 57 Golden Hawk engine blocks painted the turquoise color? I see a lot of pics of stickers on the valve covers that say 'Sweepstakes'. What is the significance of this? I am currently waiting on my build sheet from the museum, so I dont have all the answers I need yet. Thanx for any help.

Most of the 1957 GH engine blocks were painted turquoise, but there were a few which were painted silver (very late 57 engines?)

Regarding Sweepstakes 289, it is just a catchy name, such as Skypower.
