That's a chunk o' change but, appears to be an incredibly worthwhile project.

If I hadn't developed an allergy to new total restorations, and it weren't a thirty hour drive to retrieve it, this one would be in my garage.

When's the last time you saw floors like that in a 48 "vert.

never! I had a bullet nose convertible way back in about 1968 ,and it lost weight every time I slammed the door! But of course ,I am in the rust state!

Well not in a 48, but a 52! The original pinch welds are still visible on my 52! I fixed a few "bullet holes" but NO rust holes!

I have a similar car available here in Houston- a super solid original 48 Champ. It can be seen on the Studebakersite, and will be up on ebay soon. $4400.

And the lowdown- 47 Commander convertible, dry storage for 40 years. Excellent floors- no patches needed. Lots of extra parts, as well 48 Land Cruiser parts car included.
