Well I got back from Michigan a few hours ago and brought a 55 Hardtop with me, actually it's the one a bought a month ago from Kent.

A tiring but relatively uneventful trip, one strap broke but was fixable, an hour and 20 minute wait standing in line at the border for a guy to stamp the title and now it's in Canada.

Snapped a few pics, can't wait to get started on it.

The good side:

More gooder:

The back:

Needs a little work here, but it's really a nice profile:

Some interior shots, why Pontiac?:

Here's the worst of the repair required, I've got a substantial patch to fix the fender, but would rather find a good used one. I've also got a door to replace the passenger door, the original is pretty heavily bondoed.

Tom, does the 60 fender still have the trim line that matches the scallop in the door?

Yes, I believe ALL Hawk/CK front fenders are the same from 53-64, the
'60 Hawk has a "fade" on the door that removes the "scallop". It IS
possible that 63-63 changed a little, I remember the inner fenders to
be a little difference on my dads '64 than my '60 Hawk.

A new battery and a little gas and it was going today.

Too bad it'll be a while before I'll have time to work on it.
