        If you are talking about the assembly manuals that were printed by GM for their cars and are now available as reprints, then there is no such thing as such. The closest things are the shop manual referenced by Dick above, and the 49-56 truck parts book, which is also available as a reprint. Stude parts books (unlike those printed by GM) list and illustrate virtually every nut and bolt of every vehicle, and so serve the purpose of an assembly manual.

          Good point, Skip. Often the parts manual can give you a better idea of how an assembly goes together than the shop manual. Here's a link to the parts manual...

            Another good book is the 'Operation Step and Time Guide'. These were the same size as a shop manual and sometimes give a better description of a repair procedure than the shop manual. They also list the part numbers needed for a particular job, and the time the factory says it should take to do the work. They are only available used, from a literature dealer or occasionally on ebay.
            Unfortunately they went to a smaller format in about 1955-56 and became time guides only.
