  • Bolt Pattern on a 65-66 3-speed O/D?

Is the bolt pattern on the 1965-66 3-speed O/D's (V-8 cars) a 'Chevy' pattern or the more common 'Ford' pattern?

The Clutch Housing accepts the Borg Warner T-86 3 Speed Overdrive Trans. that has the Chevrolet bolt pattern that among Studebakers, only matches the '61-Early '62 T-10 4 Speed pattern, but not the input shaft.

Thanks Rich, that's what I was thinking. I have a Chevy pattern T-10 housing attached to a 289 but I don't have the 4-speed. My plan is to get one of the 1965-66 overdrives, change the input shaft and have myself a 3-speed O/D.

a Camaro or Fbird T5 will fit that bell too, with a shave of the bearing retainer and a machinist made pilot bushing. But that would mean a hole in the floor, where a T86 might not.
