  • Anyone selling a 3.07 Dana 27 or 44 at Colorado Springs?

My little Dana 27 rear axle is noisy and leaks like a sieve. I would love to swap it out. I checked the ratio tag, and it's a 3.07. I'd probably like to stick with the same ratio. Sure, it's a hair slow off the line, but I hit 60 mph on a semi-regular basis, and I don't want to trade a noisy differential for a noisy engine.

I'd entertain anything from a 27 axle with no brakes to a complete 44 with leaf springs. If anyone has one of these and you're heading to Colorado Springs from the east via I-80, drop me a line. I'd be interested in talking about what you've got. Alternately, if you're not passing my way, but will have something like this in Colorado Springs, let me know, and I'll see if there's anyone heading back my way who I could bribe to bring it home for me, as I sadly cannot make the trip.

    Thanks!

I guess for the sake of clarification, I'd be interested even if you're not going to Colorado Springs. I'm just letting my inner CASO out and trying to save the cost of shipping if possible.

I may be interested in it if Jim isn't. That would work great in my 1964 Cruiser.
