This could be someone with a terrific sense of humor. My other guess is that it's a "honeypot" for scammers. I used to work with a group of people who would combat online scammers. It's VERY common for craigslist scammers to use software to pull email addresses in bulk and mass email generic messages like "I am interested in the item you have for sale. How much for it delivered to my location in (wherever)?" To combat these people, the good guys sometimes post ads so silly that nobody in their right mind will respond to, reducing the number of people you need to filter through to find the real scammers. It's a truly fascinating subculture that plays out without hardly anyone ever noticing it's there.
