  • It's a Starlight!

I am thrilled to have the article about our car in the most recent Turning wheels Custom and Modified column. Just wanted you all to realize that I know it is not a Starliner! Not sure why it was labeled as one. I am pleased that the article is otherwise as I wrote it.

Loved the article Pat. As soon as I saw it,I called my daughter and told her to make sure Zack saw it. Thanks again for taking him around the track in it at South Bend. NT

Sounds like some good-natured ribbing at Brian's expense is in order.
Our monthly meeting is Sunday, but I'll be typing up the agenga shortly...
So it would seem that timing IS everything!!

Oh, and Pat- that's a nice StarSomeThingOrRather you got there.

          Pat:
We all knew you knew, but we wondered who didn't know!
I remember meeting you at two or more recent International Meets and being very impressed with your car, but even more impressed by the fact that you DRIVE it everywhere and it is so utterly reliable.
Hope to see you at Colorado Springs.

I saw your car in TW and read the article. I must say, you actually improved on a hard to improve design. Nice work.

A long overdue writeup on one the best Stude customs ever. I put Pat's car in the same class as Steve Hudson's convertible and the Kart Hauler restored by Dick Steinkamp. Try googling "1953 Studebaker customs" and you will see some great cars, even ours.
