  • Can someone help me?

I am looking for a list of items that would have originally been cadium plated on a 1963 Lark Daytona Convertible, and also curious to know if the hood torsion bars are originally cadium plated. Any input on any items that were plated will help.
    THANKS

I believe the hood door and deck lid latches were cadium plated and the hood torsion bars were body color.

EDIT: By the way, this was based on my '64 Daytona hardtop.

I thought the torsion bars were black (could be wrong though)

Just a note to other CASO's: in lieu of cad plating, I've bead blasted these items, sprayed with cold galvanizing and clear coated. You can tell the difference if you sit them next to real cad-plating but, I've lost no points in any judging competition.

To help others in researching this, the metallic element being discussed here is cadmium (Cd), not "cadium" (sic).
