  • Aftermarket Accessories...

I've made no secret that both of my cars were going to be turned into hot rods. One Stude powered and one Chevy powered. Neither is worth alot. One was bought as a roller and the other needs some serious rust repair. The Daytona is going to be a 'period' hot rod. I'm adding nothing to it newer than 1968 except air conditioning, and even then it will be painted to look old.

I'm getting the idea to add one of these...

    Any opinions? Good? Bad?

It's your car do what you want but did you ever think about installing one of the bigger roll back sun roofs that you see in the newer cars? A freind of mine has two cadi's a 2013 and a 2010suv and they both have almost complete glass roofs.

      I like.

You shouldn't have to worry about adding a contemporary Studebaker feature, imo.

That blue Daytona is a beauty, but as far as cutting holes in roofs.....ask the owner of the average Avanti II how they feel about moonroofs!! (In other words, keep it closed and add A/C)

No moonroofs. I already know about plugged drain tubes. I plan on adding A/C already. Really the only concern is the roof bows.

              that looks pretty cool.

just curious if skytops had the X-frame like convertibles and the Avanti(?)...

either answer, it wouldn't hurt for a little extra frame support.

Now this is a very good question... Anyone have an answer?

I would think that the answer would be no.

Had a 63 Sky Top from the factory. A lot of wind noise.
