  • Bars around Studebaker Plant in sixties

Just the name of a few bars that were on the fringe of Studebaker and frequented by it's worker. The Lark Inn on Franklin and Sample, The Landcruiser near Tutt and Michigan and The Autorail on Chapin. All went away with Studebaker.

Anybody have any pictures of these places? I would love to see them.

Wow, I need to get my first cup of Coffee! I could not figure out why the last part of the post made no sense, because I was totally thinking of metal security Bars, not the "liquid" kind!

No Rich, unlike in this day and age, there were no need for security bars around the plant(s), should **someone** sneak in!!

(**BP & GK come to mind**)
