Ok, I give up. Is this the remains of the Whistler?

Good guess given the location, John, but The Whistler had disc brakes. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

Can someone please clarify? Obviously it's a junkyard but what's the significance?

Unless someone got tired of working on the disc brakes or didn't understand them and installed drums. I've seen that happen before. I just guessed "the Whistler" based on his other two posts.

I'll add that somebody could have taken off the disc setup if it was in a junkyard.

That's what happend to my Lark. A factory disc brake car, it was converted to drums at some point. I changed it back to discs after I purchased it...luckly, it still had the unique disc brake spindles.

Interesting, my Lark also came from Chuck's Studebaker Acres, back in the '80's!

Looks like it could be blue mist? Does it still have the vin plate?

Oh, I just enlarged your picture after I saved it and it does say "Ray Tanner" on the door. I should have known that those guys were pointing at something.
Too cool! If you bought or found it then congratulations are in order.

I don't have a clue either Mike. Maybe this was from the Old AltAutos Forum or something, before my on line days.
To Libertyville, Illinois from Chuck Naugle's in Arizona?? That's quite a trip for a parts Car.

                          Whistler -huh...?
