  • 1946 m5 fan?

While working on my M5 this weekend I was pondering as to why someone would cut off 2 blades of the engine fan, leaving the fan as a two blade?..there is no shroud around the rad either...this truck must have over heated very easliy...should there be shroud around the fan?my parts truck didn't have a shroud and it was an M15...

    thx guys/gals Happy Motoring.
