  • Woodward Dream Cruise

Over 1.2 million people showed up for the Woodward Dream Cruise in Suburban Detroit yesterday! Weather was perfect, what a day. Many thanks to Jason Ford and anyone else who secured a prime stretch of Downtown Birmingham for Studes and Avanti's to park. The magnitude of this event is unbelievable. If you have never been to it, definitely a must see. Would be great to see more Studes out there.

Check out pics 10 & 11 in today's Detroit News photo gallery:

I am no Chevy guy, but there is no way that this is a 1929 model.

Good call. It had a '49 plate on the back.

I did my part and drove my '63 Lark Custom and wore my Ted Harbit, "Studebaker Performance Team" polo. One guy was wearing a Stude shirt but left his GT Hawk, at home. I saw a couple of other Studes, not pictured here, a Blue 53? cp. and a GT Hawk. The DETROIT NEWS ran a feature on a local '90 Avanti 4dr, which I also saw cruising.
