    Okay!
    I would like to hear from Forum members as to where I should purchase a new dash pad for Sandi's Hawk restoration.
    Who whould you recommend?

    You might check with the vendors to see if they have an NOS one. I found a NOS one for my Hawk but that was when Bob Johnson was still selling parts so it was in the late 80's. Once you buy a part you seem to notice more of them around and I still see these at swap meets occasionally. Vendors like Joliet Studebaker (studebaker@mac.com) or Ed Jones (jts359@aol.com) may well have one on the shelf.

                I can only speak from my own experience... I bought one from SI, which was simply vinyl material sown with foam backing for thick pleats. I do not know what the oem dash pad consisted of, but when I received the SI pad, I had reservations about how it would install and look. I have to say that it looks excellent installed. I would buy another if I ever do another Hawk.
