  • '58 Wagon Following Me Home

Well, I committed to this one today. Should have it home in a couple of days. I hope to find it a good home... ideally someone who would like to pick their own color, rather than me choosing a color, and hoping I picked the right one.

It is in black primer, but the body is straight enough it can scuffed, sealed with DP40, and painted the color of your choice.

    350, 350, drives well.

Just in case I have to paint it... let's do a little poll... what color does this car need to be?

I think a bright red body, silver (or white) top with the side insert painted to match the top would really pop on this one.

          58?

          Here's a 58...

I do see a 58 front bumper. Someone got creative.

Very nice car! I like the suede black with the silver coves. Shiny black would also be sweet if it is straight enough. Any shots of the interior?

          Way to go, Dave!

Thanks, Dick... mine is a Scotsman, same year, different body.

Haven't taken a lot of pics yet, but here is teaser shot of the interior:

That looks like a very solid car. Well done, sir!

i'd go with a coppertone color with a off white top & upper sides (maybe with a little copper/brown tint). then i'd raise the rear end a bit, throw a couple surfboards on the top and go hang-10!

Unless it has an air conditioner...I still say go for a light roof...otherwise, that greenhouse will truly be a "hothouse" in the summer sun.

I'm with Steinkamp - jet black is the way to go. (Of course, then you'll need lake pipes, too.)
