I have a 66 Commander with a 6 cyl and a 700R4 auto trans.
The linkage has been giving me a fit for the last ten years. The GM gears, of course, do not line up with the Stude gear selector. Also the selector has a tendency to slip from PARK to REVERSE even when the engine is or is not running.
Can anyone suggest a fix or a Modern Steering column to use to cut down the grief ?
I tried to find the parts from an old JEEP WAGONEER that an old Turning Wheels recommended, but have not found one in several years.
