Look what I got for Christmas!
It's an oil painting my wife commissioned of my 1953, sitting in my driveway.
I couldn't be happier!
:!:
The artist is Maggie Ripperger of Truro, Iowa https://mail.google.com/mail/images/cleardot.gif

Congrats on your wife's generosity, your car, and your sharing this with us. Red '53's are hard to beat.

Great painting. What is the truck in the background on the wall?

Very nice! All I have is this pic of mine in the driveway from 1985, your painting is a bit nicer.

What a thoughtful present. Kudos to your wife.
The only thing better than a passion, is having a partner who shares, or even, respects your interests!

You, er she, may have even sparked a gift trend for others!

That is the Sunday Service poster. It was available from Studebaker Int. Check their ads or web site.

FPStude... Gary answered correctly before I had a chance to. My '53 coupe was sold new by Baker Bros. Motors in Redwood Falls, Minnesota; the same folks that loaned that truck for the service.

We still have them, plenty of them. We have one hanging on the wall in the South Bend showroom and it's really cool looking. 801389 $8.00 each.
