Headlight Covers: Make Unknown

Perhaps someone in Studebaker land could help me come up with what these headlight covers are off of. I picked them up at a fea market. The etching on the top say "AATG 2578616" and on the bottom SAE H 65Y.

They are brand new.

The horizontal lines were quite distinctive at the time. A little joke locally was that the lines were there to help prevent birds flying into them <g>
