    Can someone post an up close and personal photo of the gas door guard from a 1950 bullet nose studie plz I've seen a few on photos but just can't see enough detail

    The one with the attaching screws and box looks like the one on my 1950. The other one looks like the spear is to short and has that bump on the front.

      Here's the one on my '51. It should be the same as the '50. That said, I don't know who made the guards for Studebaker or if mine is original or after-market. I suspect Studebaker produced none of them and they were all from an outside supplier. Other after-market vendors made them to fit a variety of models. Any that are period correct and fit would be acceptable; just a matter of your aesthetics.

              (ignore the wax build-up and "dust" - it's pollen season), and starting to get it ready for a car show next weekend!

              others may not, but i like "shiny stuff".

                That's the correct one above. All of the others shown on this thread are aftermarket guards.
