    1949 Studebaker Convertible In Torrence,ca

    Hello, Can someone do a physical check on this car. I spoke with the guy who is selling the car. This might be one hell of a scam. The posting is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=320145008146

    It may not be a true blue convertible. I would appricate the help.

    You are right. It's a 4 door with the top hacked off. It would still be a fun car .

        They did a nice job of crushing the bumper and grille when they put it on the sling. Can anyone make out what is written on the windshield?

                It says something about '49 Studebaker for sale and a price, hard to tell maybe $125.00 Too bad he didn't use a real tow truck: (rollback flatbed) that would have saved the whole front end! [V]

                Bill Oliver at Studebaker Parts & service in Long Beach lives in Torrance, but if he knew what a piece that is, I doubt he would even go look!

                  It says something about '49 Studebaker for sale and a price, hard to tell maybe $125.00 Too bad he didn't use a real tow truck: (rollback flatbed) that would have saved the whole front end! [V]

                            Looks like only change is he's admitting it's "sedan not convertible".

                            With the added pic I can see I was right- the price on the windshield IS $2500.
