  • Body / Glass: ID code breakdown

Hi, can somebody clarify this please? I know its a RH drive 56 Champion sedan but where was it built etc please?? and for what country. Thanks
    Phil

56G-W4 6753 also has G1373221 (maybe local VIN??)

56G = 1956 Champion. W4 = sedan, 4 door. 6753, = sequence of body weld. G1373221 = serial number of vehicle. G = Champion, numbers = sequence of assembly. The car was made in South Bend. Probably assembled locally.

It was built quite near to the end of the 1956 model year.
You can get the build sheet with further information from the SNM.

And if I owned that vehicle I would do exactly as Gary said. Never really knew you could get so much information off of a production order. Right down to the day it came off the line.
