  • New Studebaker in town

The nice thing about living in a small town and driving a redi ride bus all over is that I get to see when a new Studebaker arrives. This is Mike and his new project. He brought it home last night and I spotted it first thing this morning while I was driving the kids to school. I came back with my camera and an extra copy of our club newsletter and introduced myself.

Mike told me he was a mechanic at the auto shop where my truck was taken to get aligned after the rebuild. He told me it got him thinking about Studebakers and he found this project and picked it up for $2800. He's probably going to get it running and sell it. I'll post more pictures when progress is made. 1949 Champion sedan. And yes, that's an SBC in it.

That'll be a sweet little ride when it's finished.

He might find out Studebakers are like Lays potato chips.

I know, eh. You never know what kind of oil they use, and they're very greasy!
