  • Studes at the Local Buick Dealer's Car Show

Only two, but they both scored in voting by visitors to the show. Light rain most of the morning, but we were released by 1300 hrs., because the serious weather threat is just now beginning to take shape... just had a lightening strike on the property, surprised the power is still on!

    Dale Gillespie's 1959 Hawk:

(When did they drop the Silver Hawk designation?)

    Some other all wet Stude:

Hey, Dave, good luck with your weather. We pass this system on to you having had only one tornado in it. And it was in the countryside about 40 miles away.

      Thanks, Bob.

We missed the brunt of the storm. We need rain so bad, I would have gladly endured some rougher weather to get more.

Studebaker dropped the 'Silver' name for 1960.

Most everything you might want to know or care to know about Studebaker Hawks can be found on "The Studebaker Hawk" poster.

An aid to remembering about Silver/Golden Hawks is that Studebaker used these names for three years, just not the same three years.

That looks like a nice GMC next to your Starlight.

Thanks for the insight on Hawkisms, Gary.

And, yes, that is one very nice GMC! The owner is a member of our club, and we travel together to a LOT of shows. I can't remember an instance when Dan did not score at a show, usually taking home the Best Truck award where ever he goes:
