  • 259 Pistons

    There was a post on here about some 259 pistons. I thought i had a set but when i checked them this is what i found. Six of them are 30 over. one is 25 over and one is 35 over. Here is some pictures of the pistons. Dusty

      Those appear to be original Studebaker/Alcoa Pistons. They look used, but I would Mik them, those could be 3.5 Ten Thousands oversize. Still actually Standard.

        Dusty I have a factory set from a low milage 63 V8 and from piston #1 to #8 the top of the piston had numbers that are similar to yours.

            We pulled the heads off Josh's 60 Lark 259 today. 3 of the pistons were stamped 30, 3 were stamped 40, 1 stamped 35, and 1 stamped 25. Surely these numbers are not overbores... What do they mean?
