  • What's wrong with this fantasy piece?

You may be seeing this metal "fantasy piece" sign being peddled on-line soon. (The term "Fantasy piece" denotes an item being produced to look like a vintage item, though there never was an original like the newly produced item.)

While I like the overall design, can you find three things wrong with this fantasy piece? One is major, the other two may just be opinion or preference.

I'd like to see her get in or out of the car!

June 1956 started on a Friday.

I don't think the Studebaker logo is correct.

That's two I had in mind.

Now edited to include Dave's third answer. I don't recognize the logo as authentic. I could be wrong.

Her hair style looks right out of the roaring twenties, and tho dainty she might be, those rear springs would certainly bow to her sitting in the deck lid like that.
No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

Should the upper door frames be painted the lower body color? (On the car!)

My biggest gripe would be the Studebaker sign and the woman's clothes and hair style don't match the era of the car.

You shouldn't wear red after Memorial Day?

No, you shouldn't eat shellfish after Labor day.

                      Two other thoughs....
-Giant women should not sit on Studebakers they can't fit into. That's not gonna help the rear springs.

I remember June 1, 1956, it was on a Friday, not Tuesday.
It's probable that the rest of the days on that "calendar" may also be incorrect.
That would make thirty things wrong.

Yeah, but June of '56 was a Leap Month.

Looks like as far as the logo goes they were trying to make it look like the "Authorized Service" sign. As it is, it is not a "real" logo.
