  • Neat Stude Commercial

Had not seen this one before... posted to Facebook by a Stude friend, thought I'd share it here:

I can't help it, whenever a cute jingle comes on, I mark out. This has 2 of them, one in a classroom! Great Studebaker cars too! And a Studebaker showroom as...

    Interesting, Dave.

Note that it had to be a mid-year ad, not "Introduction Day" fare, because the Golden Hawk has the second-series two-toning. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

      that's really cool!

the little girl that says: "Studebaker, Studebaker"! is the actress that played the youngest daughter "Kitten", on "Father Knows Best".

The dealership at the end of the commercial looks like a pretty new and large establishment. Wonder where it was.

Love seeing those original moving pictures of those cars going down the road - especially with the singing and the Les Paul guitar playing in the background.

It sounds like Studebaker invented certified used cars as well as cool! Were other car companies talking about certified used cars in 1956??? 56 years later, all the car companies are touting their certified used cars.

Yes and no. With the slanted out showroom windows, it does look modern (for the time). But the red-ball (possibly neon) Studebaker sign on the roof looks like something from the past.

Anyone see a problem with the paint matching on the 4 door sedan (between the doors and the fenders?)

A while back, a video was posted which was a drive through vintage L.A. from the driver's point of view. The car turns left and on the right, you can see a big red ball Studebaker sign. Frost and French was bandied about as being the possible dealership. I wonder if the commercial was filmed in Hollywood?

And all in rhyme. Was that produced in Whoville?

same here! you'd think "they" would have noticed it and at least tried a "buff it out" on the doors!

then again, the resolution on '56 televisions weren't as good as what we see on our 'puters.

and the "Lark Shine" had not been invented yet!!!

Yes, could be lighting and angle on a poly color.
