  • Champion back on the road

It has been about 18 months since the engine in my '53 Champion Sedan run a big end bearing while crossing the Nullabor Desert at Easter time last year. This weekend we fitted the rebuilt 185 flat head six and it is running as sweet as ever. Also fitted a new set of wide white wall tyres as well. Just in time for IDYSD.

Fantastic! Even when the passenger does the driving.

Really nice car. The wire covers look classy. I have a soft spot for Champions even though I know their shortcomings.

I am surprised that no one has commented on the run-in speed restriction that is placed on the car. LOL.
