So I brought home this 55 Champion and painted it for my brother. Now I get the clickty-click-click-clicks when trying to start it. The battery is putting out over 6 volts and over 600 cranking amps. Once in a blue moon it'll engage, but it's usually easier to bump start the car. I just got a new Studebaker Int'l catalog, but no listings for a 55 Champion starter relay. Where doe I go from here and is there a process to test the relay? Thank you much in advance!

Use a voltmeter across each connection to check for voltage drops; neg battery post to cable terminal, bat cable to stud on solenoid, both sides etc, while trying to engage starter. Also between starter case and bell housing and block to pos cable and back to battery. You should get a zero or near zero reading, if you don't , take the connection apart and clean/polish everything!
