  • Cleaning the engine bay

Always easier when there's no engine or tranny there.

This is the 63 Avanti project on jack stands. Kinda creepy being in there, but truly the best way to get some of the crud off the frame.

Found a good, strong 350 to drop in, to replace the tired old 305.

All ya need is a steering wheel and brake pedal on the radiator support.!

Careful when pedaling that thing downhill.... stopping could get a bit hairy. Make sure you've got good soles on those shoes.

Check to see if Fozzie Bear is behind the steering wheel.

Now is the time to have a helper turn the steering wheel back and forth. Watch for play in the steering bell crank. replace the bushings or at least double check the pinch bolt.
