So, when I was at the Museum on Saturday, I ran into Chris Dresbach. he pointed out that the windshield is not the same size as the regular '47 Champion windshield (the Woody glass is taller). It wasn't until then that I noticed that the roof shape at the front is also completely different from the regular early post-war Stude. The front roofline on the Woody looks more like a late pre-war sedan. I can see some other similarities to the earlier sedans in the drip rail area.

The restoration looks fantastic and it was well worth the wait! And just down the Tollway was another 'woody that wasn't' from the same time period. Hudson had one in the works as well, and this one was created from some original drawings.

I noticed that the wheel covers they used on the woody are similar to the ones they used on the 59 Lark. They must have restamped them with the circle "S" in the middle.
That wouldn't be the last time they did something like that.:)

My wife and I got to see the restored woody and it certainly lived up to its billing. What magnificent woodwork and total restoration!
The Int'l Meet was fantastic, as usual.

Chris,
It was a treat to meet you at Stude Int'l. Thank you for your very informative tour of the facility. I didn't realize how extensive Ed's inventory is.

Jim,
Good to meet you at Stude Int'l. At the risk of sounding stupid, what are PM's?
