I've been packing for South Bend, and came across a big box that I hadn't noticed before. I pulled it out and opened it up for the first time since 1951. This is the only NOS Climatizer kit I've ever seen and thought that it was too neat to not share.

I have a price in mind but have no idea what it's worth. Any advice?

Glad it's not for a 53. I would be tempted to ask "how much". But since it's not I can only admire it. Thanks for the pictures. I love all NOS. I have one of those dash cards for my 53.

Thanks cool Matt. Can you check your PMs please for a question on something else?

It is an interesting item in NOS condition. With that said, I don't think there is much value because there isn't much demand. How many people are going to be driving their stock 1951 when it gets below freezing and need a heater? My WAG is $150.

As I said earlier, George King has been LOOKING for a Climatizer setup for his wife's 51 Starlight. Why not send him a PM about this???

Oh man, that would fit nicely where that huge hole is in my wife's "51 Starlight!
And it has all the stuff I need!

I don't drive in snow, but the climatizer comes in real handy on cooler days, and even in rain windows fog up. The defroster is a nice accessory, too.

Am going to have one installed in my Lark when she gets done, Chris Skinner can supply RHD conversion pieces and said his two cars have them and work well.

Well I can't afford the one Matt has. SO it's back to search for a good used assembly.
Anybody have a complete used one for sale?

That looks much like the one I sold last year on eBay. Your box is in much better shape and mine was for a 52. The only difference I could find between the 51 and 52 parts were the dash knobs. I got $250 and delivered it to Springfield.

I can't speak for other parts of the planet, but I can tell you that I am certainly glad I have one in my C-Cab here on the west coast. I generally only drive it 3 seasons a year, but it is sure handy to have a good defroster on moist days as well as a good heater on nice but chilly spring and fall days (especially because you have to drive with the driver's window rolled down!;) - It's an STF thing).
