  • spark plug question

Hello guys and girls, I pulled out some old ac delco plugs out of my 60
Hawk, should the new autolites be the same size? Or does
    It matter now...g

To; adolphpeavy,----- Yup, definitely matters.....the 'heat range' thing. Any good auto supply can set You up!

      I found this at: studebaker-info.org

Spark Plugs(V8) Bosch super platinum 4236, Autolite 437, Any and all
      Spark Plugs(V8) Platinum 7516(wr9fc), Champion RH14Y
      Spark Plugs(V8) Champion 857/ RH18Y(hotter)

      I prefer these: Autolite 437

AC plugs were typically recessed tip plugs. Most Champion plugs and the Autolite 437 are extended tip plugs. Thus, they may look different. I agree with StudeRich - Autolite 437 is the best - I have used then for years with total success.

If the old AC plugs are either 43LS or 45LS, they are the correct plugs for the standard Studebaker V8's Many people will use an AC 45 or 45S in Studebaker engines, but they are not the correct reach for Studebaker heads. Bud
