Does any one have a list if the fasteners or a schematic for the bolting together and the installation of a 1951 Bullet nose to grill?

This page from the shop manual, if it helps. Your fastener list would be in the chassis parts catalog.

If Brad's picture doesn't work, I have a complete '51 bullet hanging on the wall that I could disassemble for pictures.

              Thanks Mathew
From Brads picture I can see there are some clips.
Need a close up picture of these.
              and screw sizes.
Bullet to grill must be studs by the sounds of it

If Matthew can supply a picture of the clips, they are part # 293798, easily fabricated.
                There are three screws 1/4"-20x9/16".
The body painted ring is secured with a speed nut and bolt 10-24x5/8".
Don't know the length of the studs but they take 1/4" nuts, washers and locks.

I think I have an NOS set of those clips.
No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

Let me know if you want measurements, but those clips should be pretty easy to make.

                          Mr. Woods,

The clips on my '51 were fabricated from 1/16" thick sheet metal. They're pretty easy to fabricate and adjust (especially for the grill). I warn you though that it is a bit of a booger to get the grill on as you have to support the clip from behind with a finger on your off hand. To make it easier, have a second person help support the grill while you tighten the top two screws.

While in South Bend, I went to Studebaker International to inquire about those clips. They sold me a package of four for $20.00.
Upon my return home I found the "Three" clips that I needed on my workbench. Just where I left them when I took my bullet apart.
                            Thanks again for the help.

I do that all the time. Something goes missing, I buy another and think "where should I put this?" Think of the perfect spot and bingo, that's where I put the first thing.
