  • Well it finally happened to me....

I was driving my Hawk home from Home Depot, windows down. It's hot and a thunderstorm had past through about a hour before. A guy pulls up beside me in a New Dodge 4x4. His passenger (35ish) says "man is that a beautiful car What is it?" A Studebaker! "Oh ya FORD made those. Ya Henry Ford's son started that company". I had to tell him that Studebaker was around for 55 years prior to Ford even thought of building a car. I threw it in first gear, the light turned and I laid out a long patch of rubber on the damp pavement. A Studebaker built by Ford! Can you imagine?

Didn't you know??? Studebaker was a sub-division of Edsel, used three
engines, one was a supercharged Ford 289, one was a Packard, and then
they used a Chevy 283. Studebaker had their own cattle ranch that used
a device that held the cows inverted their entire lives, as to not allow
the hides to be damaged. They are still built in Canada today. [)]
