  • Electrical: Voltage Regulator, 60' Lark

    One more question.. (for today)

has any one purchased a voltage regulator from AutoZone or O'reilly's? AZ has one listed for $55, its a three wire like what I have now. have you had luck with these units or should I seek out one from a Studebaker supplier?

    Thanks

Why chance it? By supporting our vendors you assure them being there for future generations of Stude owners.

Voltage regulators are different between six cylinder cars and V-8 cars, so be sure to specify.

AutoZone and O'Rielley's electrical parts are sometimes substandard. Get a name brand voltage regulator, either from a "hard parts store" (where professional mechanics shop) or from one of the Studebaker vendors. I priced voltage regulators a few years back, and Studebakers West had a new old stock brand name one for less than the local FLAPS had for an off brand one.
