  • 2R5.3 decals

I had these decals made for my truck and I am soliciting thoughts about where to place them. Studebaker did not place a 2R5 designation anywhere on the truck so I'm on my own for placement of my custom decals.

In case you didn't already know, I have designated my truck a 2R5.3. Studebaker designated it a 2R5 because it had the champion 6 in it. The commander 6 trucks were designated 2R6s. Since I replaced the champion 6 with a GM 5.3 liter vortec motor, I have decided to call it a 2R5.3. Thus the decals I designed. The background is black and it has a brushed aluminum borderline and letters/numbers.

I like having one on the glovebox and I also want one under the hood.

My first thought was on the computer itself. it is located under the hood just in front of the instrument cluster.

Another option would be on the radiator support which is painted black.

or I could place it on the aluminum shroud just in front of the radiator support.

Or I'm up for consideration of any other placement.

    Thanks

The Black Radiator support is my choice, it looks more "Original" then on that obviously added aluminum thingy!

Gotta keep it looking STOCK don't ya know!

That might look good but I'm too lazy to do that...

Grind the name off. That would be easier for you. Simpler still would be to fill the area a bit and place the sticker over it. (It looks more like a sticker than a decal.)

What part of too lazy don't you understand. Easier still is to peel the backing off the sticker and place it on the surface of the radiator support. It's bad enough I have to wipe the dirt off first...
