Took the M5 to a car show for it's first official day out. Plus a couple of pics of other cars at the show.

A '73 Holden on the left, and a '70 Ford Ute on the right.

That car in the last picture is a Dodge Charger of about 1971 vintage. The Dodge pickup next to it reminds me of the one I bought as military surplus several years ago and finally sold to a guy from Canada.

Nice M5. I'm heading to a little cruise in at Burger King. Cheers.

The Charger is a 1972, the difference is in the side markers; 72's look like the one's above, 71's are mounted behind the fender and are split in the middle horizontally by the fender.

Hi Matt,
Back in 1989 our Aussie National Meet was held in Cessnock NSW. The outright winner was a green 1947 green M5 Pickup belonging to Noel Menzies. I wonder what happened to that vehicle?

Jimmijim,
The color is Strato Blue, a unique Factory shade for 1964 only.
Jim.

The truck looks great Matt! Old trucks always look good with black fenders (mudguards, I'm still trying to learn the Aussie language). ;)

You're right. I couldn't see the side marker very well. The green one in your picture is the same color as the 71 Charger 500 that I had. Mine had Cragar SS wheels.
