Great car weekend in Petaluma, CA...... first we have Petaluma's Salute to American Graffiti that starts on Friday and ends Saturday evening with a cruise down Petaluma Blvd.. You can check it out on www.americangraffiti.net. The local Studebaker folks are always well represented. Then on Sunday (May 20) our local SDC chapter will meet at the North end of Petaluma (Pete's Henny Penny Restaurant) 9:30 AM sharp. Sebastian and Joy Ambra have organized a caravan from Petaluma along some very cool back roads to the Sturgeon Saw Mill near Occidential, CA. www.sturgeonsmill.com .... This is a steam driven mill built in 1914 and still working. The Sturgeon family fires the mill up a few times a year .... a "fine example of an authentic working museum". Afterwards we head over to Occidential for lunch at The Union Hotel....one of the oldest Italian restaurants in Sonoma County (great minestrone) .
