Studebaker International may possibly have some new. Does anyone know what is different between a GT Hawk and Lark center console? Is it just the bottom center hump contour? Could a GT Hawk center console be made to work in a Lark?sigpic

Thanks to all for your response. The part number for the Lark is 1344937X10. The X10 is MAROON. Studebaker had a red in 62, which is a bright red, but the 63-64 is maroon. The part number for the 63-64 Hawk is 1344936X10. As you can see the part numbers are only one digit different. The difference in the console is the Hawk at the left rear has a 3/4" flat spot that can be ground into the raduis to be made like a Lark model. The front of a Hawk one has a small piece of fiberglass glued onto the bottom to raise it about 3/8", which also can be ground off to be a Lark model console.Hope this helps.

The contact cement on the consoles is usually so dry that you can gently pull up the vinyl, grind down the necessary pieces and glue the vinyl back with no sign of the modification. I did this once to make a GT Hawk console fit into a Lark.Scott Rodgers

I have a NOS one in the original box in our stock, the color you are looking for, but it does not have a lid. Why it does not have a lid I don't know.
