  • Wrap-Around Windshield Use

Need a little help understanding which cars/models utilized wrap-around windshields. The following are my conclusions but I'm not very confident of their accuracy. Any help/corrections would be appreciated.
    1. Full size models got them first in mid '55, and retained them.
    2. Loewy Coupes and Hawks never utilized them.
    3. Larks always had them
    4. Avantis never had them.

    Thanks,
    Dan

Correction -- Larks had them from '59 thru '62, but the '63 thru '66 'Lark-type' vehicles were generally considered to be non-wraparound. Also, Champ (T-body) trucks had wrap around windshields for all years.

All 4 door models from 1955 1/2 to 1962 had the wraparound windshield and used the same front door shell.

All Studebaker cars from 1955-1/2 to 1962 and Packards in 1957 & 58 had a wrap-around windshield EXCEPT for the Hawk models.

I still like the idea of a Hawk convertible with a 50's Corvette windshield on it.

But not the same windshield...I don't know Dan's intent on his query, so let's lay it out:

55 1/2 to 58 (non- C/K, of course) use the same windshield, including the one year only '58 hardtop.

59-60 Larks and 60-64 Champ trucks use the same windshield.

            61-62 uses the same windshield.

And then it gets a little more complicated. Which ones you consider "wraparound" is up to you.
