During deconstruction of my Lark, some flippin' moron (who really looks very much like myself when I see him in the mirror every morning) managed to lose the last surviving key set to the car. I'm wondering if anyone has had luck with having a locksmith cut new keys using the codes on the build sheet? Before I brilliantly sent the keys off to oblivion, my locks were the only thing that worked flawlessly in the car. It'd be a pity to have to replace em.

I recently had the same problem. I took the ignition switch to the lock smith and he made a new key. It was not expensive.Don Wilson, Centralia, WA

Ignition switch and door lock should be the same cylinder. Locksmith should be able to use the easiest to R&R.Brad Johnson,

Our local small town locksmith looked my '63 Avanti in his charts and with the build sheet key numbers cut new ones. I got the blanks from SI as he couldn't supply them.Jim

Call Dennis Dupont in Derry, NH. He's in the roster. He cut one for my '56 Transtar using his blank and my # off the build sheet.
