Avanti rear glass

I have an Avanti/Avanti II rear glass with defroster I need to part with before it gets broken laying around here. Obviously, it would have been OE for Avanti II's, but it was in a '63 with no mods. Any ideas as to value? I plan to bring it to South Bend this weekend.

Rear glass is pretty much made of unobtainium, so whatever the traffic will bear as far as value. A rear glass with defroster is for later Avanti II's...my '70 has the old style blower rear defogger. I already have a spare back glass in the (hopefully) unlikely event I'll ever need it.

Are the defroster wires sandwiched inside the glass or are they bonded to the inside? If so, can they be scraped off for use in an earlier car? I'd hate to see that happen when someone who needs a rear glass like that could use it.

I can't speak to the availability of Avanti rear glass but this is a listing I ran across a while back. If new is available, this will give you an idea of the value.

The defroster wires are in the glass. I suppose that dates it to a later Avanti II. This glass was bought new, installed in a '63 and immediately removed because the defroster wires weren't correct for a '63. Both connectors are there. No scratches or blemishes. I was going to put it in my '66 as a restomod, but changed my mind. I'm thinking $400 is fair but may stand correction. Of course, there's always cash plus trade. Whatcha got?

Even if you don't have an Avanti, I've heard that these rear glasses work well for other things. For example, you could lean it up against a tree to keep the squirrels from climbing up.
