  • Frame & Engine Paint Question

I will be re-doing a 62 GT Hawk. I will start with the frame and drive train first. Does anyone have a great recommendation for frame paint (color & supplier)? Was the factory paint a gloss or semi gloss, or a flat black? I was thinking along the lines of POR 15.

What was the factory engine color for the 62 GT Hawk as well as the transmission?

Any insight to colors of paint used is very much appreciated.

    Thanks Guys

I did my 56J in a POR 15 semi gloss, highly recomend it! 6 years later all it takes is some soft soap water and a quick rinse. Wears like iron! I believe the 62 blocks were black also.........
    It is an addiction!
