I am about to scrap a couple of 232 engines. Are the cam cores worth the effort to save? Are some Stude cams better cores to grind than others?

Depends on the core. Look at the part number either stamped or cast into the cam and let us know what they are. -
Check with Jack Vines before you scrap a 232 cam. He was looking for a particular early one a while back. Other than that, IDK, 232s are just not that desireable by most. Make a heck of a cool boat anchor...Comment

Cams, cam spacers, oil pumps, oil pans (6 Qt) Crank bolt, crank shims, are ALL worth saving if they are not a ball of rust in ANY Stude V 8 engine. I save every one.Comment
